Employment

Summer 2017 – Current Freelancer, Noodle Live Noodle Live is an event technology company, providing app-based solutions for your events. Freelancing involved using their technology during registration along with their personalised apps which allow companies to record customer information relating to their events and workshops. - Adaptability: Key skill needed in order to efficiently work in a number of different locations and providing the different services in response to varying clients. I am able to work in a number of different environments comfortably and provide my best work in each place through altering myself. Easily able to complete a number of different tasks and complete them using alternating methods. - Communication skills: Very important when working with different team members during a number of different events. Good communication enables all the freelancers to provide the best services possible and allowing the whole event to run smoothly in response to the client’s needs. July 2018 – August 2018 Senior Mentor, NCS The Challenge National Citizen Service is a ‘voluntary personal and social development programme’ challenging young people through outdoor activities, working towards helping their community and more. The role of a mentor meant supporting and assisting the young people throughout their time on the programme. - Working with young people: Experience working with young people to assist them in developing into better rounded young adults. Building relationships with the young people over the 4-week programme made working with them very rewarding and a unique experience in comparison to the other work I have taken part in. - Leadership skills: Needed to use my leadership skills in order to ensure that all the young people were reaching their full potential and receiving all the help they needed to complete their set tasks. The correct type of leadership was crucial as I had to ensure they were developing their own leadership skills and exploring outside of their comfort zone rather than just following instructions. Sept 2016 – June 2018 Bar Staff, Royal Holloway Student’s Union - Communication skills: Key skill needed in order to communicate with both customers and other members of the team in order to ensure all orders are completed as quickly as possible and the venue runs smoothly. - Work under pressure: I gained the ability to work in fast paced environment and able to work well under pressure due to how busy the venue can get at certain times and some complicated orders that need more time and effort. Also, helping new staff and making sure they work well and quickly to provide quality customer service. - Multi-tasking: I am able to multi-task due to the number of different things that need to be done whilst working behind the bar whether its food running, taking orders or making milkshakes. Summer 2017 Casual Staff, Off To Work Off To Work provides staffing for catering and other events. The casual staff are able to work at different events all over London and have the freedom to pick their shifts and events. The events can vary from formal dining to assisting at restaurants while staff are on holiday. - Flexibility: Opportunities to work in a number of different locations around London, experience of working at different types of events from bartending and banqueting services to private hospital catering, easily able to adapt. I was able to change my manner and technique depending on what the venue and the event required from me. Summer 2016 Sales Support Team, Next - Team player: Working well as part of a team in order to ensure as much of the sale products were sold as possible and customers were able to find everything they needed to. As I was a support team, it was important to work as part of the team in order to learn quickly and provide the best customer service that is required.
